Show Piute County Editor Lauds Puffer Lake There is one other project that we feel should be put over in Piute county and although we have mentioned men-tioned it several times before we are going to call your attention to the need of a road to Puffer Lake again in the hopes that some of those who can really do things will take this over and see that the road is built. Have you ever been up to that beautiful lake, seen the thousands of fish flash in and out, watched the changing fare of the lake as it mirrors mir-rors the season on its banks or the passing pictures in the clouds, have you floated lazily out on it surface allowing your line to run slack, drowsing along in contentment and at peace with the world until you are sudddenly jerked to wakefulness as a member of the finnpy tribe grabs your hook? Have you camped camp-ed on its banks forgetting all your troubles and worries as you gazed out over the placid waters? If you have done any or all of these you will have an insistant desire in your heart to see that short piece of road built from our little metropolis to the very shores of the lake that you may enjoy this pleasure more often or that all your neighbors might too enjoy a days outing. Knowing full well that each hour spent in the quiet of this beautiful lake set in the tops of our mountains will add days to out lives and maTte us more lit to live on God's green earth. At the present time we are so near yet so far that only those sturdy stur-dy few who can or will make the trip horseback or those who feel that they can make the trip arouud by Cove Fort and Beaver are permitted permit-ted to enjoy the happiness that come9 with perfect peace.- Piute County Newa. . n |
