Show COUNTY QUINTS ARE TAKENINTO CAMP Hinckley kept its place at the head of the column in last week-end's basketball games, when its team traveled trav-eled into Beaver County and won close contests from Minersville and Milford. Mil-ford. The score at Minersville was 14 to 13 and as the fray drew to a close the large crowd of fans almost had heart failure as Minersville slowly slow-ly narrowed the gap between them and their opponents. The score at half time was 12 to 5 in favor of the visitors; Minersville held them to one basket in the last period but successful success-ful stalling checked Mincrsville's rally. At Milford, on Saturday night, another an-other interesting game was played, Hinckley winning 22 to 15, but the score did not indicate the closeness of the game. Only a point or two sep-erated sep-erated the two teams until the final minutes, when Hinckley tossed two field baskets. .Milford played without the services of her center, Horace Palmer, who will be out for some time due to scarlet fever. Beaver High traveled over the week-end, and dropped games to Delta and Fillmore. Minersville comes over tonight, (Friday), for a game which is bound to cause excitement. |
