Show I SOCIETY C. C. C. Club Mrs. Sid Manning entertained her "500" club Monday evening, January 20th. Those present were Mrs. George Litchfield, Mrs. Chas. Crawford, Craw-ford, Sr., Mrs. Chas. Crawford, Jr., the Misses Ida Crawford and Arlie Stoddard. Delicious refreshments were served at the close of the evening even-ing with Miss Ida Crawford assisting the hostess. Score prizes at 500 were won by Miss Arlie Stoddard, club prize; and Miss Ida Crawford, consolation. con-solation. Pierian Club The Pierian Club '' held the first neeting of the year Monday evening, Tan. 13, at the home of Mrs. J. M. Hughes. Mrs. Robert Sherwood gave the English lesson which was interesting inter-esting and helpful. An article on the ?iji Islands was read by Mrs. L. G. Clay. This, and the query box, completed com-pleted the evening's program. Mrs. Hughes served a dainty luncheon to Mrs. E. L. Bardsley, Mrs. L. G. Clay, Mrs. Robert Sherwood and Mrs. Roy White, Sr. . Sunshine Girls Miss Vernice Smith entertained the Sunshine Girls at her home Monday, evening. Business matters were discussed dis-cussed and refreshments served to the members present. EUingsworths Entertain Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Ellingsworth entertained at dinner on Sunday afternoon. aft-ernoon. The dinner was a veritable feast and was served in a charming way. by the hostess, assisted by her daughter, Ellen. At the conclusion of the meal, Mrs. Ellingsworth favored the guests with some very choice musical selections. Covers were laid for seven. |
