Show HORN SILVER MINE T0 NEARORE ZONE The west drift from the bottom of the Buckhorn shaft of the Horn Silver Sil-ver property in Beaver county, is nearing an important ore zone, according ac-cording to word received by Lorin N. Morrison, president of the Tintic Lead Mining company, owner of the property. The word comes from Carl Link, manager of the Buckhorn, that in the last five feet of the 125-foot drift there has been a marked improvement improve-ment in mineralization. Manganese, calcite and bunches of sulphide identical iden-tical with the surface mineralization in the big north-south zone appear in increasing quantities. President Morrison infers that the pentration of the zone by the east-west east-west fissure in which the drifting has been done will create a condition in which oxidized ore deposits of higher value will be probable. The east drift on the same level, out 30 feet, is charted to cut no less than six north-south fissures, all mineralized min-eralized at the surface, in the next 300 feet. Promising conditions at the Buckhorn Buck-horn have induced the management of Tintic Lead to arrange for a careful care-ful geological survey of the San Francisco district especially the limestone area around Grandpian mountains. A rush of prospectors into this part of Beaver county is noted. At least 15 or 20 knights of the pick and shovel are delving into likely looking outcroppings, presumably in search of rock running well in gold. |
