Show WILD GAME DAY Members of the Ik-aver County Fish and Came club are to be r.,mmendecl for the success of "Wild Game Day" staged at Beaver this week. Wild pme is one of Beaver County's resources, and it is only through the united efforts of local people that the great- ,. benefit may be received from this resource. .Mure fish, more iiiing places, greater protection and propagation of game must iit-cos.sarily come through such an organization as a fish and game club. This club has done mfuch in past years in building roads in the mountains providing rearing ponds and stocking lakes and sw reams ,and the present officers are endeavoring to continue the work and make fishing and hunting even more attractive than in the past. But to carry on the work, the club must have financial aid. Wild Game day with an elk barbecue as a means of raising funds to carry on the work, has entailed much hard work on the part of the officers of the club and the directors. They have given their time and labor in an effort to secure funds for projects, such :i i a road to Kent's lake where additional fish may be planted, and for other proposed improvements that will make our mountains more attractive to the sportsman. These men are devoting their energies and time without compensation com-pensation and deserve credit and the support of all interested in outdoor recreation. n |
