Show Motor Injuries Treated By Red Cross First Aid In line with its work for the preservation preser-vation of life and prevention of accidental acci-dental death, the American Red Cross has adopted a new program of emergency emer-gency first aid stations on the highways high-ways of the nation, where victims of automobile injuries will be helped. In the last year 31,000 persons were killed as the result of automobile accidents acci-dents and more than 1,000,000 were Injured. As Its contribution to the nation wide safety campaigns of other organizations, the Red Cross will aid through the emergency stations. A number already are in operation by Chapters on such Important traffic arteries ar-teries as the Westchester County, N. Y., park system, the Valley Forge and Gettysburg highways in Pennsylvania Pennsyl-vania and the White Horse Pike in" New Jersey, connecting with Atlantic City. |
