Show Gas Explosion Injure Brothers in St. George Richard and Rodney Truman of the Evergreen Service station, on the highway east of St. George, were severely se-verely burned last Saturday afternoon after-noon when a blow torch with which they were heating a truck spring, exploded, spraying them with' flaming flam-ing gasoline. The brothers, with their, father, were outside the station repairing a truck. The pressure in the torch had gone down and one of them was filling the tank with air with a tire pump when the torch exploded. Richard Rich-ard was in a direct line and received the full force of the explosion. He was enveloped in flames from head to foot and plunged into a nearby irrigation irri-gation ditch to extinguish the blaze. The skin and flesh a.bout the face and body and his arms were badly cooked. After being taken to the hospital it was feared for a time that he would lose the sight of both eyes. His father had walked away only an instant before the explosion occurred. occur-red. Wshington County News. 1 |
