Show u FISH GROW TO GREAT SIZE IN FOURTEEN MONTHS DUCHESNE On May 14, 1931, 41 cans of four inch rainbow trout were planted in the upper lake of Lake canyon, about 20 miles west of Duchesne. At that time there were no fish in the lake of any description, and Wm. Lawson, president of the local Fish and Game club, was severely se-verely criticized for "Wasting" 41 cans of fish. Monday a party of fishermen returned re-turned from a day's fishing at that place and each had the limit and all fish were from 14 inches to 31 inches inch-es in length. The largest fish was caught by Orval Thompson of Duchesne Duch-esne ,it being 21 inches long and weighing three and a half pounds. The fish were planted in the lake only 14 months ago! |
