Show "Wild Game Day" and Elk Barbecue To be Held by Beaver County Fish and Game Club on August Third Beaver County Fish and Game club is making preparations for a big celebration at Beaver on Wednesday, August 3. This celebration, which will probably become an annual event will be termed ''Wild Game Day," and has the support of a large membership mem-bership of club members and the sportsmen of the county. One of the features of "Wild Game Day" will be the barbecuing barbe-cuing of two large Elk, furnished by the State Fish and Game Department. State Game Commissioner Cook and other state officials have signified their intentions of attending the event, and sportsmen from all over Southern' Utah are expected to participate. In addition to the barbecue there will probably be a parade, ball game and sports, with a grand ball at night. The barbecue at noon will be held in the city park. "Wild Game Day" is a most appropriate appro-priate celebration for Beaver county, which is situated in the heart of the wild game section of southern Utah. It will mean much in advertising this section as a big game county and (i.-hernian's paradise to the outside world. The Beaver County Fish and Game club has done much in the past in improving both hunting and fishing, in restocking the streams with fish and propagation of wild life in this section, as well as road building and advertising this wonderful resource. The inauguration of "Wild Game Day" will add further to laurels of Beaver are working hard to make the day a huge success. |
