Show STATE TO OPEN BIDS FOR HIGHWAY WORK IN BEAVER COUNTY Several Months Work Outlined On 91 Highway Which Aid In Unemployment Relief The state road commission will open op-en bids on six projects, totaling around $150,000, this week, and also expects to start advertising early in the week for construction of an additional ad-ditional 13.5 miles of highway in Millard Mil-lard county .between Fillmore and Dog valley, which section is largely on a new alignment and may cost around 5100,000 additional. Bids will be opened Monday for resurfacing, preparatory to oiling, of 7.163 miles between Dog valley and Cove Fort, in Millard county. Friday the commission will open bids on 8.71 miles from Cove Foi-t to Wildcat canyon, in Millard and Beaver counties. The commission reserves re-serves for the present about a mile section in Wildcat, where line changes chang-es are indicated. This also is a project preparatory to oiling, and the section is on this year's oiling program. When it is completed, with the exception of the Kanosh-Dog valley construction, and the small part in Wildcat canyon, U. S. 91 will have a paved or oilnvulch surfacing from the Idaho line to the Beaver line. In fact, there will be only about 25 miles unoiled or un-paved un-paved between the Idaho and the Arizona lines on this highway by the end of the year. Work of oiling four miles of 21 highway from Beaver west, which was graded and graveled last fall, is expected to begin this week. |
