Show CLOCK HANDS DEFEAT BILLS Unless a special session be called later by the governor, gover-nor, Utah's legislative session ended this week. It has been one of the busiest sessions in the state's history, with both houses meeting day and night in the closing days. , Even so, many important measures were left over for the consideration of future legislatures, due to the decisions of the sifting committee. While sper.Hng of the legislature, Beaver county people peo-ple cannot refrain from smiling a little about the Salt Lake Tribune's photographing each solon and publishing his picture pic-ture with a short writeup, taking care to publish neither picture nor writeup about Mr. Jefferson. Either the latter declined the honor or was regarded as "Peck's Ead Boy" by the Tribune. We venture that Mr. Jefferson is losing no sleep about it. |
