Show f MINERSVILLE 4 Arnold and Gus Fotheringham who have spent the past two months in Nevada have returned home. Harry Thompson who has been employed em-ployed at Pioche, Nevada returned home Saturday. The Misses Ireta Mortimer, Lillian Carter, Lola Roberts and Pauline Mathews attended the ball games at Fillmore and Hinckley Friday and Saturday night where the M. H. S. team played. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Goodwin of Beaver Beav-er spent Sunday here. William Nixon of Provo has been here as the guest of his neice, Mrs. Fern Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Eyre of Murray Mur-ray are here with relatives where they will spend several months. Eugene Hardy arrived home Friday from Los Angeles, Calif., where he has been attending school. Mr. and Mrs .Arshel Evans of Pioche, Nev. are here at the Owen Davis home. The Daughters of the Pioneers held a meeting at the home of Mrs. Lillie Roberts Sunday, the lesson "The early cities of Utah," was given. Mrs. James Banks is visiting relatives rela-tives at Joseph and Gunnison. Evan Seegmiller of Richfield called on friends here Sunday. Dr. Peterson of Provo was in our city Monday. Friday morning Minersville streets began taking on an improved appearance, appear-ance, men with their teams have been hauling gravel and grating the streets, which will continue on for a week, after which the town board will give a free dance and supper to all who worked. We note with interest we have some of our Lamanite Brothers in town. Mrs. Joseph Eyre and daughter Theo were the honored guests at a party Friday evening held in the Relief Re-lief Society building. Games and dancing were the diversions after which refreshments were served to forty-five guests. Miss Lois Carter entertained a number of friends at a "500" party Saturday evening. Miss Melba Jameson entertained a number of friends at her home Monday Mon-day evening. o a a. |
