Show COMMISSIONERS APPROVE BEAVER-MILFORD ROAD THROUGH MINERSVILLE AND ASK FOR STATE APPROVAL OF NEW HIGHWAY PLANS Discussion of the proposed county hospital in Beaver and the oiling of the Beaver Milford highway was the concern of the meeting1 meet-ing1 of the county commissioners Tuesday in Beaver. The county hospital proposition was tabled by the commissioners commis-sioners until they receive information from the attorney general on legal phases of calling a special election necessary to establish the hosnital. I On the matter of the Beaver-Mil-' ford road, it was decided by the board that it could meet the twenty-six per cent of the cost of the improvements as the state is willing to bear seventy four per cent of the expense and it was voted to notify the state to that effect. A delegation from Minersville and Milford headed by Sam Cline asked ask-ed the commission to change the road so that it would run through Miners-ville, Miners-ville, South Milford and directly into Milford so that the necessity of crossing cross-ing the railroad track into town would be avoided ' and that travel would be deverted through Miners- ville. The commissioners were favorable to the plan but as the road would be two miles longer via Minersville, it would be necessary to gain the con- sent of the state to share the addition- V al expense. It was voted to write to the authorities asking their agreement agree-ment to the plan. o |
