Show GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP When one hears the term "Good Sportsmanship" he usually thinks of athletics. Good sportsmanship can extend ex-tend to the school-room, also. Students should join with the teacher teach-er in trying to maintain order and if all the students try to do their best the school, as well as the students stu-dents could be benefited. The students should try to be honorable, hon-orable, and, when tests are being given and the teacher leaves the room, should rely upon their own honor to keep them from cheating. Cheating doesn't hurt the teacher, it hurts only the student, but most stu-' stu-' dents think they are 'pulling' a smart trick if they can cheat. It is easy to be a good sport and be patriotic to a school that wins all the time but it is not so' easy to be a good sport and be patriotic to a school that ;loses. If everyone tried to be a good sport the school could be changed from a losing school to a winning school. Good sportsmanship, to the school, could entirely change both the school , and the students. The school would be benefited and it would help the student learn what "Godd sportsmanship" sportsman-ship" means. Betty Murdock. |
