Show LOCAL MEN AID IN STARTING NEW CLUB s E. A. Bailey, V. M. Burns, and Leo Horton drove to Cedar City Tuesday, where they assisted to organize the Cedar City Athletic Club, composed of Union Pacific employees at that place. R. R. Smith, representative of the general manager of the railway company, took charge of the meeting. The men from Milford report a lively meeting, and a club of over fifty members mem-bers was organized. This is expected to be a greater number later, as there are more than 200 Union Pacific employes em-ployes eligible to membership in the Cedar club. It was a rousing meeting, meet-ing, they say, and the Cedar City bunch has a lot of pep, get up and go. Already, they are starting to build a club tennis court, and shaping plans for a new athletic field and track. |
