Show NOTARIAL SEALS "I've got my date of commission in the seal, so I won't put it on in ink," is the usual dope handed out by almost every notary public. But it should be remembered that the lettering in the seal is so small, and the paper usually punched up in such a manner right over printed matter and marks, that no one can read what the date of expiration is. It causes untold Inconvenience to have to decipher these dates. The better practice is to add the date of expiration of the notarial commission below in ink, even though it is on the seal. It will save lots of work, and show that the notary so doing is thoughtful of others. oth-ers. And the notary absolutely must put below his signature on the acknowledgement, ac-knowledgement, "Residing In Delta, Utah," or whatever town It Is. That is now the law. |
