Show charge for Independence Day, the same to be held at the A. C. Nelson building. Everyone invited. in-vited. All kinds of sports at the city park in the afternoon. The Deseret Heroes, left for Oak City Saturday afternoon where they indulged in a game of base ball. They played to the tune of 7 to 30 in favor of Deseret. Deseret Doings The Bee Hive girls were entertained enter-tained last Friday at. the home of Mrs. Stella Black. This week the swarm will gather at Mrs. Edith Peterson's. Our vegetables were visited again Saturday night by Jack Frost. A bundle shower was given in the ladies Relief Hall Thursday evening, in honor of Miss Lydia Larson, whose marriage to Jesse Western takes place next Thursday Thurs-day in Nephi. Mrs. H. S. Cahoon, Sr., Mamie Mam-ie K. Damron and daughter Norma, Nor-ma, and Mrs. John Dewsnip are among the visitors in Salt Lake this week. Last Thursday evening C. A. Smoot and J. P. Sprunt gave a good talk to the farmers. The occasion of their visit was to induce in-duce the farmers to raise beets, that a sugar factory might be installed. in-stalled.
