A.'Tfroaddus has decided to organize a music club for all young people Interested in music study, and to accept pupils in either vocal or Instrumental work for the two summer terms, May 5 August ij, and August 7 October 28. If there Is sufficient demand for the work It may be continued Indefinitely. The music club will meet for organization organi-zation at the home of Mrs. Hroaddus at 4 p. in. Wednesday, May 17, and will meet weekly at that time for about an hour and a half. The work will consist con-sist of the scientific and technical part of music, the history of music and of the great composers, Illustrated talks on the different kinds of music, training train-ing In sight-reading, In playing in public, pub-lic, and ear-training. The club will be open to all whether they have previously prev-iously studied music or not, but it Is especially Important that all pupils Intending In-tending to take music lessons this summer should be members of the club, for by this means their progress will be almost doubled Tuition for club nienibprs will be merely nominal, $3.00 for each term of three weeks, payable In advance. Tuition for music lessons will be $12 a term, payable in advance. This will Involve one hour of individual Instruction In-struction per week to be divided Into six dally ten-minute lessons, four fifteen-minute lessons, three twenty minute min-ute lessons, or two half hour lessons, according to the age and advancement of the pupil. All parents wishing to make arrangements for lesson hours are kindly asked to do so before the opening of the first term. May 15. |
