Show I The Passing of Grandma Bunker The passing of Grandma Bunker Bun-ker last Tuesday closes the long career of another one of the early pioneers of the west and Utah. Sarah Ann Browning-Lang Bunker was born on October 10th 1830 in Sumner county, Tenn. She was united in marriage to Edward Bunker in 1852. To her was born nine children, two by her first husband and seven by Mr. Bunker. She migrated with her family to Utah in the year of 1863, settling at Toquerville. Later the family moved to Santa Clara and subsequently to Anna-bell, Anna-bell, Sevier county. From there she moved to Delta where she has spent the past five years. Grandma Bunker was left a widow in 1901, her husband having hav-ing died in Mexico at that time. Funeral services were held at the Delta Ward Hall Thursday afternoon at 2:00, and interment took place in the Delta cemetery. Five of her nine children were present at the services. They " were William, Clifton and Mrs. Delia Lisonbee of Delta, James of Gunlock and D. A. Bunker of ' Salt Lake City. , Chief Police, Browning, of Og-den, Og-den, a nephew, was also present at the funeral services. Mrs. Bunker was converted and came to Utah as one of the early Mormon settlers. She was 1 very devout and proved her sincerity sin-cerity by a long life of faithful- , tiess and constant endeavor for I the betterment of all with whom I me came in contact, and her . many friends fe.1 that her's has oeen a long noble life, full of many good deeds and well rounded round-ed out. , |
