Show Refreshments and lunch in the basement of the Ward Hall on the 5th of July. Sandwiches, cake and coffee, ten cents. Miss Maud Carruth is the new stenographer at the Delta Land & Water office, taking the place of Miss Cummins. Do not bring your lunch with you on the 5th. Get it at the lunch stand in the basement of the Ward Hall. Ham sandwiches cake and cofiee ten cents. Mesdames Ward, Wyatt and Hall, of Tremonton, mother and sister of Jim. and Millard Hall, and Mr. and Mrs. J. Hall took dinner with A.B. Ward and family fam-ily last Sunday. Miss Jennie Gray entertained the 0. Z. 0. Club at her home Wed. evening. A jolly good time was had by all. When the roll was called a member was missing mis-sing but was brought back to club by the other members. Hinckley had some excitement last Monday, when a small boy with a match connected with a pile of straw in the rear of Pratt Bros, and the Drug Store. Prompt action on the part of those near, however, averted any loss. Dave Ashton, assistant engineer engi-neer of maintenance and way for the Salt Lake Route, arrived in Delta last Tuesday and made a survey of the land given by Geo. A. Snow for stock yards. This land lies a short distance up the track from the depot. ,We will no doubt, soon see the beginning begin-ning of construction work on the stock yards. Sorghum Eaters Meet Wednesday night about fifty memders of the old Sorghum St. Ward met in a reunion at the home of the first deacon, D. E. Bishop Moody presided. The lawn was decorated in pink and white, where, after a short program, the guests enjoyed themselves. Refreshments were served about 11:00 p. m., consisting consist-ing of soda crackers spread with sorghum, dutch cheese served ser-ved on lettuce and buttermilk punch. A few new members were admitted and their recom-ends recom-ends were read and approved. j Bishop Moody was retained as I the head of the ward.
