OCR Text	Show Unpicked Grspes Go to the Poor. A curious old law, which dates from 1779, baa been used to sentence the wner of a vineyard at Capestang. near Betters, France, to a One and costs for picking her own grapes. She was picking the grapes which had been left on the vines In her vineyard after the fall gathering, when the policeman told her that she was committing an offense against the law, as all grspes left on the vines after the harvest were the property of the poor. The court at Betters confirmed the policeman's police-man's opinion, and the woman was convicted.
