Show LITERARY 80CIETY. The regttlar.iin ting of the ffouEK Tract Literary Society waa held In the school house last Saturday evening, with President Hall in the chair. After Aft-er the reading and approval of the minutes the program for the next meeting was read. It will consist of readings, recitations, and speeches, also a Kangaroo Court. It Is proposed to try one of the members for stealing watermelon.!. A warrant was ordered drawn In payment of a bill. The so-clety so-clety paper Mrs then read by I-ee i Thurston. The question box was op- 1 cued by Don lloyt. An Interesting de- bate then followed on the question, Re- 1 solved that Railroads have been more 1 beneficial than steamboats. The af- I Urinative was taken by Messrs. Deck I and Samuclson and the negative by ' Messrs. King and Hoff. The Judges, Messrs. Tuck, Hoyt and Plerson, de- ' elded In favor of the affirmative. 1 The other numbers on the program J were an Interesting dialogue on man- 1 aging a wife, by Miles Tuck and Sa- I rah Folsome, readings by Francie t Beach and Helen Deck, a recitation by Eleanor Tuck, a talk on Physical Cul- ture by Mr. Hall, and a dialogue by i Mary Tuck and Marcla Beach.
