Show FARMERS' ORGANIZATION. Prof. Evans of the A. C. came down to the Farmers' Institute at Hinckley lust Saturday and talked to the farmers farm-ers about organizing. He also visited some of the neighboring towns on the same mission and spoke at Delta Monday Mon-day night. He expects to come down agiln In a Short time and visit the people on the east side In the Interest of organization. Prof. Evans pointed out that the appropriation ap-propriation for farm demonstration work Is very small, only $6,000 for 2" counties; that the work would be con-lined con-lined chiefly to three counties. Millard being one of them. To get the greatest great-est benefit from the services ot the farm demonstrator the farmers should have locsl organization In every settlement set-tlement affiliated with ? general coun-ty coun-ty organization. These local branches can hold meetings, meet with the demonstrator, dem-onstrator, discuss their problems snd plan for future work. The speaker told of w hat had been accomplished by similar organizations elsewhere. After tbe meeting N. S. Bishop was elected president of the Delta branch and Willis Wil-lis Lyman secretary. Similar branches are being organized eUewhere and we hope to bave a complete list next week. |
