Show (Srrriutgfl As the close of the year draws near and the holiday season is at hand, we wish to extendjlie greetings of the season to our readers, advertisers and correspondents and to thank them for their patronage and assistance in our endeavors to make the Chronicle a paper worthy the coming great commonwealth com-monwealth which it represents. Altho a new country where we all experience many hard problems our progress has been Vfry rapid as a community' the past 'yeaiand we feel that we have 'many good. .things to look forward to the coming year. In (act, the year 1916 appears to hold in store for the "Greater" Delta country coun-try prosperity and developement far beyond anything it has ever experienced exper-ienced during any previous year. We cast our lot with the people of this valley with the conviction that there was a great rich inland empire in course of construction and soon to be realized and we have no regrets to brood over. We see a great big prosperous 1916 looming up on the side of every mountain which surrounds this valley and we reiterate our thankfulness for being a part of the 'f pioneer element out of which is forming a ' mighty commonwealth and again extend our thanks and best wishes to all who have aided our endeavors to give the people a good live paper. |
