Show . Deseret Doings Albert Hales is dangerously ill at this time. Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Ryan and son Kelly left last night for Salt Lake. Geo. Ryan, and Mr. and Mrs. Stubbins were in town on business busi-ness today. Master Ladd Damron returned from Salt Lake last evening after af-ter a few days visit with his father. The Levan basket ball team was here Friday evening and played a hard fought battle with our home team. The score was 35 to 36 in favor of the A. C. Nelson boys. Among the visitors this week is Mr. Stevens of Hoytville, who has just purchased the sheep belonging to Mr. Jorgensen. Mr.' Jorgensen receiving $8.00 per head for his flock. The Deseret Irrigation Co. held its annual meeting at this place Monday, 28th. E. J. Ellison Elli-son was elected secretary of the company for the coming year. Ernest Theabold, a new director. direc-tor. Last Friday the old people were guests of honor at a banquet ban-quet given for them by the old folks' committee. All over fifty were taken in automibles to the church where an appropriate program was given, after which they were served to a hot dinner din-ner in the Relief Hall. All present pres-ent say it was a day that will be long remembered. Much credit is due those who had the affair in charge. World's Longest Canal. The great canal of China la 2,100 miles long. |
