Diamond drilling in the Czaromah mine at Butte, adjoining Emma, by Anaconda company has disclosed a sixty-foot vein of zinc ore. From Butte comes word that the Anaconda Copper company is increasing increas-ing its sulphuric acid plant toy fifty tons per day, but will practically use all of its own product. One large agency sold copper for delivery in. January, 1917. Inquiries are in the market for large tonnages to be delivered all through balance of the year, says the News Bureau. The Emma mine of Butte Copper & Zinc comipany, at Butte, has been un-watered un-watered to the S00 level iby Anaconda company, and a large new engine is being installed preparatory to mining. Copper will not only maintain its present high level, tout it may go higher in the very near future, in the opinion of D. C. Jackling, managing director of the Dtali Copper company. Shipments of ore from Tintic mines last week totaled 146 carloads, which is estimated at 73,000 tons valued at $180,000, compared with 151 cars the previous week. This makes two heavy weeks in succession. High-grade gold-silver ore is toeing mined on the American Flag property, prop-erty, in Park City, Utah, district. The ore Is being sacked and it is expected that a shipment will toe sent to the Salt Lake smelter in the very near future. The Tintic milling plant that has been constructed at Silver City in the Tintic district on the site of the old Knight smelter. Is now in operation. The crushing machinery is grinding ore and two Holt-Dern roasters are now roasting ore. We are informed from reliable sources that there have been numerous numer-ous inquiries from Sweden. Denmark and other neutral countries for large blocks of copper, to be delivered immediately im-mediately upon the conclusion of the wax, says the Boston News Bureau. The Tin-tics Tin-tics were the favorites in the trad ing. Prices moved upward. Butte & Superior report of flotation plant operations in January shows value of concentrates $15 per ton higher than in December, says the Boston News Bureau. Total tonnage of ore in January was 49,428 tons, from which 10,536 tons concentrates were valued at $101.6 per ton at cost of $3.05 per ton. There seems to be little or no question ques-tion as to the Iron Blossom, in Tintio district, toeing placed oh its former dividend-paying basis of 10 cents per share per quarter. The report comes from the Eagle anB Blue Bell, in Tintic district, that the new $30,000 cledtnc hoist at the 1,700-foot main shaft has been installed in-stalled and the machinery given a prelinmiary warming up and it has proven its efficiency for the heavy task before it. The New York Stock exchange has admitted to the list the Kennecott Cc-pper, 2,777,578 shares stock without with-out nominal or par value and with authority to add 222,422 shares, making mak-ing a total to be listed 3.000,000 shares. i |
