Show Abraham Articles The Needle Craft met Wednesday Wed-nesday Feb. 22nd, with Mrs. Carey Mrs. Clark, had charge of a Washington Day program, which was very successfuly carried out. It consisted of, A race to the White House, Guessing the number num-ber of cherries in a jar, Identifying Identi-fying all the Presidents pictures, Writing poem on George Washington Wash-ington and the Cherry Tree, and Chopping down the cherry tree. Prizes were awarded to Mesdames Reid, Lake. Patterson and Baker. Mrs. Carey served delicious refreshments, the table being decorated with small flags as place cards, a minute cherry tree and red, white and blue streamers. Mrs. Carey took a snap shot of the happy crowd and all went home thanking Mesdames Carey and Clark for a very pleasant afternoon. You will find the Monarch at the Delta Furniture Store. m2-9 The commercial club dance last Tuesday evening was not nearly so well attended as it should have been, the receipts being hardly sufficient to pay expenses. Most of those in attendance at-tendance were from out of town, The music was most praiseworthy and was furnished by the Delta band assisted by the Cary family of Abraham. The band is figuring figur-ing on a big dance the 10th of this month. |
