Show Mining Activities Near Leamingtoii Word comes from Leamington that some activity is being shown in the Mining business of thai locality. C. Overson, who is well known in Delta, is about to lease his mining property a few miles, east of that city. The property has an incline shaft down about 200 feet, from which a number of carloads of high-class lead ore was shipped years ago. Adjoining Adjoin-ing Mr. Overson's mine is the Arbroath group. which shipped ship-ped high-grade' galena ore sampling sam-pling 73 per cent lead and nine ounces silver. This property is now being operated by Geo. Morrison Mor-rison and associates. There is considerable work done. At present the men are sinking at a depth of about fifty feet, where the galena is fourteen inches wide. It widens and pinches in turn. At last accounts it was again bulging, promising quite a bunch of valuable ore. In Wild Horse gulch to the south there has been some activity activ-ity the past winter. |
