After a long period of rest, the Rob Roy mine, five miles north of the Sheep Rock mine in Beaver county, Utah, has resumed operations. Reports from the Fortuna Gold Queen are that thel nesv adit is cutting the vein ten feet wide and exposing especially high values in the yellow metal. It is reported that North Butte is to be exchanged for Anaconda, share for share. Both are now about $3S. This will give Anaconda control of nearly the entire Butte district. Shipments of ore from the mines of Tintic the past week totaled 116 carloads, car-loads, estimated at 5.S00 tons, valued at $145,000. This is compared with 123 carloads the previous week. When the directors of the Victoria Mining company held their meetings at Salt Lake the other day they decided decid-ed to resume the shipment of copper ore from the 900 level of the mine. Shipments of ore the past week from the four leading producers of Park City amounted to a total of 1,960 tons, estimated at $78,000. This is compared with 1,300 tons the week before. While the Tintic Standard property in the eastern end of the Tintic district dis-trict is still inactive, it is generally understood that everything will be in readiness for the resumption of work within the next week or ten days. Max Dunn, an engineer from Spokane, Spo-kane, Wash., has been making an inspection in-spection of the Black Eagle group of claims in the West range, in Beaver county, Utah, in all probability with a view of resuming development work at once. Indications are that the Butte & Superior Su-perior company for the month of April will break all production records and with the extraordinary price ruling for spelter this can only mean that profits likewise will surpass all previous pre-vious figures, says the Boston News Bureau.
