Show A Ofcat with Our Reporters. The Chronicle without its prized priz-ed staff of reporters in the various var-ious communities throughout this county, would be about as interesting inter-esting to the reading public as a two-letfer device, in the first elevator, ele-vator, and would fail to serve as a dispenser of interesting, timely time-ly news. The Chronicle is proud of its staff of reporters, knowing them to be above the average reporters on most country weeklies week-lies and we feel deeply obligated to each of you for the valuable services rendered in making the Chronicle, the most popular home paper in Millard county. While a greater majority of you have been very regular and prompt in sending in news, a number have been rather negligent, sending in news so irregulary that interest inter-est wanes among the subscribers in your locality. Kindly permit us to urge the importance of sending in the news each and every week hereafter, by so doing do-ing you impress the reader with the idea that your town is progressive, pro-gressive, hospitable and sociable. The more items sent in, the better bet-ter for all concerned, so do not fail to mention every happening of interest in your locality and the marriages and new babies sure, along with the deaths, property prop-erty sales, new-comers, visitors, social functions, crop conditions, improvments, etc., etc. When out of supplies or stamps notify this office promptly anc material will come forth withoul delay. Again, let us ask that news be sent m regularly every week, anc mailed so as to reach this office preferably Tuesday, and not latei than Wednesday noon. A representative is wanted ai Fillmore and Leamington to senc in the news each week. We are sorely disappointed be cause the Hinckley, Deseret, Oasis and Woodrow items failed to ar arive th's week, but wo will lool for them regularly hereafter. Warmly thanking each anc every one of you for your loyaltj and assistance in making Th( Chronicle the leading county paper pa-per by a wide margin, according to the verdict of the people, w are very respectfully, The Publisher. |
