Show A Merited Promotion. . J. E. Works has been appointed appoint-ed division manager for all three Baker Lumber Co. yards located in Millard county, and will enter upon his new duties soon. This is a merited promotion and we rejoice with him in his good fortune. He will continue his residence here and we understand, will remain manager of the local yard, with an assistant to attend to the business busi-ness during his absence. Since opening up at Delta, the Baker Co. has been very liberal in the extension of credit to the farmers and" the- large territory in which they are workii'g renders ren-ders it necessary to have a representative rep-resentative in the field most of the time. The object of the new arrangement is to be of greater service to the people. Mrs. Ella Hopkins of Kanosh, was visiting Mrs. Jame3 Works, Wednesday. . Mr. and Mrs. Avery Bishop entertained Lorenzo Turner and family, Miss Mae Huntsman and Eugene Gardner at a seven o'clock dinner, Wednesday evening. even-ing. , Word was received from Wood-row, Wood-row, that the son of Mr. and Mrs. Orin Skelton received a painful injury on his head, Wednesday, while chopping wood the uplifted axe slipped oil' the handle strik- ing his head cutting a wide gash which required several stitches to close. |
