Show NEWSY NOTES ABOUT FOLKS The fixtures and furnishings for the new hotel at Lucerne, arrived ar-rived here, the forepart of the week. August Neilson, county commissioner com-missioner elect, of Leamington, was greeting friends in Delta, Sunday. Mrs. Mary Lyman is suffering with blood poisoning, the result of letting a bucket full of feed fall on her big toe. Dr. Fred I. Kirn ball of Hollywood, Holly-wood, Cal, purchased 40 acres of the Delta Co. out on the north tract, the end of last week. The Delta Band will play while you skate at the Marsoni Saturday Satur-day evening, 7:30 to 10; this will be a fine treat for the skaters. Dr. P. S. Robinson, who 'had been doing dental work here and at Hinckley, for the past month, returned to Fillmore, Monday. You'il eventually locate on a Millard County farm and raise alfalfa, sugar beets, hogs and go into the dairy business. Do it now ! Guy G. Emery, an ordained Christian Minister, of Sal Lake City, lectured at the Presbyterian Presbyter-ian church, Wednesday evening, at the repuest of Judge and Lucas Luc-as Kelso, old Nebraska friends. Sheriff D. S. Dorrity, Jr., was here from Fillmore, Tuesday, attending at-tending to matters of an official nature demanding attention. Mr. Dorrity has made Millard County an excellent sheriff during the past two years and he enters upon up-on his second term with the confidence con-fidence and best wishes of an exacting ex-acting public. Foster Funk of Manti, was in the city Tuesday, looking after personal matters and extending the glad-hand to friends. Foster is running a garage at Manti and is enjoying a good business. He also informed us that Billie Kil-pack Kil-pack was home-sick and would back to Millard to stay, before a great while. Preparing to prov:de for the convenience and comfort of east-side east-side freighters, who come here for oil and freight, J. E. Steele is haviag a camp-house fitted up for their use. It is reported that eastsiders contemplate changing their shipping point from Oasis to Delta, because they carf get their oil supply through the local plant of the Continental Oil Co. to an advantage and saving, to justify the change. 'The Continental Oil Co. opened open-ed their local plant for service on January 1st, and with Jim Wilk-ins Wilk-ins as manager is supplying the trade of the county at a considerable consider-able saving, the price of oils having hav-ing been reduced several cents per gallon since a local ' plant has been established at Delta. Manager Man-ager Wilkins makes a trip to the towns of Oasis, Deseret and Hinckley Hin-ckley each week with an oil wagon wag-on to supply the stores. I. N. Cooper of Ontario, Calif., having read the literature describing de-scribing the advantages of the greater delta country, arrived here the end of last week, and finding same to be up to expectations expecta-tions upon a thorough personal investigation, declared this to be the ideal location and therefore bargained for a choice forty out on the north tract through the Delta Co. They are coming to the delta country, you bet! We are informed that a rousing-enthusiastic rousing-enthusiastic railroad meeting was held at Abraham, Saturday, and that the progressive citizens of that locality perfected plans to complete the 2h mile grade for the new railroad within the next thirty days. Bully for Abraham!
