Show SUTHERLAND . . . Tanneta Sorenson Mrs. Bryant Larson visited with her daughter Edith in Clear Lake from Saturday until Thursday. On Thanksgiving Day Edith prepared dinner for her family, M-S Cleo Whicker and family, M-S Marvin Ogden and family, and Mrs. Larson. Lar-son. Bishop and Mrs. George R. Jackson Jack-son and daughters Maxine, Ruth, and Shirley came down from Provo Pro-vo Thursday. Bishop and Mrs. Jackson Jack-son returned home Saturday. Lt. Maxine Jackson from the Navy was home on furlough, and visited visit-ed here with her sister Mrs. Max Johnson and brother Bernard and their families until Monday. She returned to Provo for a visit with her parents. Miss Glenna Erickson of Salt Lake City spent the holiday here visiting her parents, M-S Golden Erickson. M-S Steadman of Salt Lake City and Miss Loine Johnson visited in Sutherland with Mrs. Steadman's children over the holidays. Lester Johnson returned home Sunday after spending a few days in Salt Lake City, where he was called by the serious condition of his little daughter Miss Marylyn Walker visited here with her parents, M-S W.R. Walker. Wal-ker. Miss Ada Moulton of Provo spent the Thangsgiving holidays here with her parents M-S Lyman Moulton. Moul-ton. M-S Farrell Walker entertained at their home Saturday evening in honor of their wedding anniversa-ray. anniversa-ray. The guests present were M-S Bert Sanford, M-S Broze Roberts, M-S LeRoy Smith, M-S Fred Turner, Turn-er, M-S Bernard Jackson, M-S Ivan Sorenson, M-S Grant Bishop, M-S Max Johnson, Miss Julia Thornton, and Miss Bee Roberts. Miss Bee Roberts of Cedar City visited here with M-S Broze Roberts, Rob-erts, returning to Cedar City Sunday. Sun-day. The MIA presented two programs pro-grams in honor of the Y M M I A. Sunday evening Sacrament meeting meet-ing was turned over to the Y W M I A, when a fin'! program was given. giv-en. Tuesday eening a program and dance was given. M-S Don Sampson from Nevada, I are visiting in Delta with his par-, par-, ents, M-S George Sampson. M-S Ford Coleman of Magna visited vis-ited a few days here with M-S John Talbot and M-S Wm. Coleman. Cole-man. Miss Nadine Sheriff entertained the Sewing Club Thursday. The following members were present: Betty Nielson, Neva Harvey, Iva Sorenson, Lottie Gronning, Edna Haycock, Phyllis Nielson; guests were Thelma Clark, and Theo Roper Ro-per of Oak City. A beautiful birthday cake was in honor of Betty Nielson and the club presented her with a gift. Tuesday evening the Mutual held their Diamond Jubliee. Several skits were given; dancing was enjoyed en-joyed and apples served. Miss Georgia Dutson spent the Thanksgiving holiday in Salt Lake City with her mother, who was married that day. |
