Show FARMERS ARE BEST BUYERS Farmers as a group constitute the most important single market for products of industry and labor. If their buying power is destroyed, national prosperity will go down with it. Today the attitude seems to be a sharp decline in farm prices is inevitable. At the same time industry is predicting higher prices for it's postwar products. Labor is demanding that wages be maintained at wartime levels, with a guaranteed annual wage or the home pay adjusted high enough to make up for the loss of overtime. Why should farm prices be sin-glee' sin-glee' out for decline while others are to be maintained? Is it the old and persistent campaign for cheap food and a pleasant agriculture? This same attitude on the part of the general public makes it all the more important for farmers to get out of debt and stay out. Farmers must wake up. Now is the time to organize! Wm. Perkins.
