Show Funeral Services Held For Thomas0. Peer Funeral services for Thomas O. Peer were held in the Delta first ward LDS chapel on Sunday, Jan. 12, at 3 p. m. Bishop A. O. Gardner Gard-ner conducted the services, which were directed by L. N. Nickle & Sons Mortuary. Mr. Peer was killed in an accident acci-dent in the railroad yards at Lynndyl Lynn-dyl on Tuesday morning, Jan. 8. The services were opened with prayer by Merlin Morrell, and the opening song was a vocal solo, "Rock of Ages," by Ladd Cropper. Harold R. Morris, president of the Deseret Stake, was the first speaker speak-er and the second speaker was Leonard Palmer. They were followed follow-ed by a vocal duet, "In the Garden," Gard-en," by Mr. and Mrs. Fay Rigby. Charles E. Freer, representing the Union Pacific, was the third speaker, and spoke of the reliability reliabil-ity and trustworthiness of Mr. Peer during the three years he had been employed there by them. The closing musical number was "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," by Bertha Love, Ruth Talbot and Er-ma Er-ma Cropper, accompanied by Mrs. Ekins. E. Eugene Gardner offered the closing prayer. Burial was in the cemetery at Delta, where the grave was dedicated by Charles R. Woodbury. Mr. and Mrs. William Peer returned re-turned to West Farmington, Ohio, after attending the funeral services of their son. Other out of town relatives were Victor Peer, Mr. and Mrs. Walter McDonald, Mr. and Clifford McDonald, Minnie McDonald, McDon-ald, and Clarence McDonald of Milford. |
