Show DUP Camps Plan Meetings Friday The Helen Marr McCullough Camp of the DUP, will meet at the home of Mrs. Lillie Woods on Friday Fri-day afternoon. Mrs. Heyborne will be assistant hostess. The Ann E. Melville Bishop Camp of the DUP will meet Friday afternoon aft-ernoon at the home of Mrs. Olive Barney. All members are urged tc attend the meeting. Emory John and Junius J. Hayes, teacher of astronomy and a member mem-ber of the Mineralogicol Society ol Utah, spent Friday in the hills in the Drum Mountain area surveying survey-ing and hunting for fragments ol meteorites anr chalcedony, as well as rock specimens. Mrs. C. Cropper returned to Delta from California last week. She wishes to sell her farm and retire to a life of ease. Mrs. Fred Hauman and son, Fred, went to Salt Lake City last weeh for medical treatment for the boy, Ed Miller found a metate and its rub stone when digging a sewer, buried at a depth of 7 feet. Ed considers this as laid there a good many years ago. Prehistoric man was here a long time before we came. Fred Keim returned from Illinois Friday; while there he visited relatives rela-tives He says it rained practically all the time. Monday evening, March 5, Mrs. W. L. Bunker gave a family dinner in honor of the 55th birthday of her husband. Besides members of the family living at home, there were present M-S Wayne Petersen, and children and M-S Max Bunker and children. Miss LeMira Bishop returned on Monday from a five weeks sojourn of the Eastern States. She visited Niagara Falls, also in Wisconsin and New York City. M-S Jay Thornton of Provo were Delta visitors last week. M-S W. J. Starley went to Salt Lake City Monday for a few days. Mrs. Beth Holman left Delta on Monday for St. Louis where she will spend ten days with her husband, hus-band, Maurice (Bud) Holman, who is in the Army. Thursday evening, March 8, a dinner was given at the home of M-S W. L. Bunker in honor of the following brothers and sisters of Mr. Bunker, Mr. Ed Bunker, Mrs. Charles Dewsnup and Mrs. Loren Taylor. These are all of the living brothers and sisters of Mr. Bunker and it was the first time for many years that all of them had enjoyed an evening together. |
