Show n, Plays on Basketball Team In Mediterranean Area ALLIED FORCE HEADQUARTERS, Italy Technician Fifth Grade Clarence B. Bliss, son of M-S Clarence Clar-ence Bliss is playing with Sparks 12th Air Force Command basketball basket-ball team which will shortly battle the Fifth Army champs to determine deter-mine the zone finalist of northern Italy in the Mediterranean Theater basketball championship. The Sparks, all radio men with the fighter command, have won 23 out of 25 games in the preliminary contests. They took eight straight games to become 12th Air Force champions. Overseas 13 months, Cpl. Bliss wears the Mediterranean Theater Ribbon with one Battle Paricipa-tion Paricipa-tion Star. SSgt. H. J. McCullough came to to the States from the SW Pacific service on the same day his mother, moth-er, Mrs. Sarah McCullough got to the coast to visit him. He will be in Salinas, California, until about the first of the month. Pvt. Dale H. Talbot, who has been home on furlough, will leave Thursday for the east where he goes to a new camp for training. Headquarters Head-quarters battery, 127th Field Artillery Ar-tillery Battalion of the 3ith Division Divi-sion Artillery, was promoted to a Staff Segeant February 15. 1945. Staff Sergeant Callister is a native of Utah. Sergeant Canister's brother broth-er maintains a home in Delta, U. Joe Mercer, Jun. Ph. 1 c, returned return-ed from the SW Pacific-last week on leave.
