Both the Extension Service and the War Food Administration, are conscious of these problem's which will be met in the attempts of farmers far-mers to meet the goal this year, which has been set at yol.OttO acres, but the vital wartime need for sugar su-gar makes it imperative that nothing noth-ing stand in the way of meeting the 1935 demands. Director Owens points out that county agents will do everything they can do to assist farmers in reaching the established goal. In addition, the Extension Service in its farm labor program, will co-op- erate with all growers in doing everything possible to make seasonal sea-sonal farm labor available. County Agent's offices should be advised of sugar beet labor requirements well in advance of the time the labor la-bor is wanted. |
