Show SUTHERLAND . , . Tanneta Sorenson M-S Fred Turner entertained a few of tlwir friends at their home Tuesday eve-img on their wedding anniversaary. Cards were played and a delirious luncheon Aas served ser-ved to M-S l-'eirel Walker, M-S Max Johnson, M-S Grant Bishop. M-S Bert Sanford, M-S Ivan So.-cnson, and Bishop and Mrs. Culler Hen- rie. Mis. Leslie Porter spent a week visiling in San Pete, Salt Lake and Ogden reluming Tuesday. M-S M. J. Moody were happily surprised when they received a phone call Monday evening from their son Robert from the USN telling tell-ing them he was in Salt Lake. He arrived here Tuesday. This is the first lime "Bob" has been home in two and a half years. A party is being planned in his honor in the very near future. Mrs. Minnie R. Barney of Spring City, and son Archie and children, visited here Sunday with Avon, Pat and Virt Barney. The Karmetts Club and husbands were entertain d at a party Monday Mon-day evening f t the home of M-S Ell Fowles. The parly was in honor hon-or of Bert Jensen's birthday. Mrs. Denver Smith and daughter Mrs. Kennoy are here after spned-ing spned-ing several months visiting in California Cal-ifornia with their children there. The Junior Girls and Senior Scouts presented the one-act play, "The Bard of Bakersville High," Tuesday evening under the direction of the Junior Leader, Mrs. Fred Turner. The play was enjoyed by all and was very well presented. |
