Max V. Eliason Gets Lieutenant Stripes Max V. Eliason has been promoted promot-ed to lieutenant (j.g. ) with the Navy somewhere in the Pacific where he has been serving since January He entered the service in August. 1943 and was commissioned commission-ed in November. 194.3, at Columbia University. He has been assigned with the amphibious forces and has taken part in such major campaigns cam-paigns as the invasion of Normandy Norman-dy and of Southern France, and re-j cently in the Pacific was in the in-I vasion of Iwo Jima. rle is a University Univer-sity of Utah law school graduate and a son of Mr. and Mrs. E.
