Show Two Local Girls Graduated from B Y U Lora Hilton, of Delta received her Bachelor of Science degree at the 6Sth Commencement Fxercises of the Rrigham Young University. Wednesday, June 7 in the Joseph Smith Building. With majors in clothing, textiles, foods, and nutrition she participated partici-pated in the exercises. Miss Hilton has completed teaching certificate requirements and is a graduate of the college of Applied Science. Miss Hilton has taken an active part in student activities since her entrance into the BYU four years ago. She is a member of the Ces-ta Ces-ta Tie Social Unit. During the years 1943 and44 she has served as Student Body President at the university. She served on the Junior Jun-ior Prom committee during her junior year. Myrlene Moody of Hinckley also al-so received her Bachelor of Science degree from the BYU, at the same Commencement Exercises. With a major in Elementary Education Ed-ucation and a minor in English she was graduated from the College Col-lege of Education. The exercises began at 10 a.m. with the academic processi o n starting at 9:45 a.m. from the Maeser Building. Oscar A. Kirk-ham Kirk-ham delivered the main address with Isabel Hales representing the class as valedictorian. Eldon Sorenson was surprised by a short visit of his uncle, Byron Alder, of the USAC.
