Show About Town AT THE GAME . . . Friday night Mrs. LaPriel Mortensen, with her husband and two children, looked very lovely in a gold-trimmed dress . . . Betty Jo Robinson arriving arriv-ing with a group of well-dressed young ladies, was very pretty in a matching ensemble of dark brown skirt with gold pin-striped blouse . . . . The former Marjorie Weldon was very striking in a good hiking black outfit. CONFERENCE . . . showed a multitude mul-titude of well-dressed attendans. among whom was the new bride, Mrs. Mary G. Thornton, who wore a stunning black suit and hat with black accessories . . . Grace Hep-worth, Hep-worth, wearing a goodlooking black dress, gave an interesting report re-port on her mission to the Northern North-ern States . . . The choir of young ladies all in white blouses was a pretty sight to see. LIEUTENANT ... is the new title for Bernon Christensen, after his graduation from Officer's School at Fort Benning, Ga. Mrs. Christensen reported a wonderful trip by air from Salt Lake City to Georgia to attend the exercises. The trip took 14 hours of flight by air. After graduation the couple left immediately immed-iately for Atlanta, Ga., by plane. At Chicago they were removed from the plane on account of priorities pri-orities and continued the trip to Utah by rail. Lt. and Mrs. Christensen Christ-ensen will leave the last of this week for Camp Roberts, California, where Bernon will be assigned. ENSIGN . . . LaMont Bennett has sailed for Pearl Harbor and further fur-ther duties as a Naval officer, reports re-ports his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bennett. |
