M-S James Boyle, from Park City rame to Delta to attend the birth-lay birth-lay party last week for "Uncle" Jim Shields. The birthday party-was party-was a huge success. Mrs. Elizabeth Stephenson, Mrs. Laura Johnson. Frank Wood, Anthony An-thony E. Stephenson and George Stephenson went to Holden Saturday Satur-day to attend the funeral services for John B. Stephenson. William L. Bunker went up to Salt Lake City to be with his father, fath-er, William E. Bunker, on his 85th birthday on January 11. The father is enjoying good health and works in the Temple. Mild again last week with the coldest night only ten above zero; quite a difference from a year ago at this time. Mrs. Cassie Allred and Mary Jo spent the weekend in Salt Lake City with M-S Bryce Allred. Mrs. Laura Johnson received a telegram Monday morning saying that Seaman and Mrs. Boyd Nelson Nel-son would be home for a short leave on January 22. They are in Virginia Beach at present. Mrs. Alvin Prestwich, of Provo, spent the weekend in Delta visiting visit-ing her mother, Mrs. Robert Church and her sister, Mrs. Bert Sorenson. Jack Daly and two children visited vis-ited in Delta over the weekend. M-S Piatt Taylor and their daughter, dau-ghter, Rayola, left Wendesday for San Francisco, where they will spend the winter. Marvin Wallway. left Monday for Colorado, where he has been transferred for a short time. Mrs. Wallway and daughter will remain here until it is definitely known whether the move is permanent or not. Mrs. Lloyd Schlappi and Mrs. Raymond Davis spent the last part of last week in Salt Lake City. Orran Ashby and his father, Rodney Rod-ney Ashby, went to Salt Lake Monday Mon-day and returned Tuesday night. Mrs. Rodney Ashby made the trip as far as Provo with them. Mrs. Catherine Hing left Delta Saturday after spending a week with her daughter and son-in-law, M-S Marvin Wallway. M-S C. M. Pace returned Sunday to Delta after a two-weeks visit in California. Mrs. Jess Warren and two small sons left for their homes in Salt Lake City Saturday. Mrs. Warren had been visiting in Delta with her parents, M-S Oscar Warnick. M-S J. H. Snow and son, Harold, spent the weekend in Salt Lake City visiting with Mrs. Paul Snow and her their. Miss Dorothy Bird spent last Saturday Sat-urday and Sunday with her parents, par-ents, Dr. and Mrs. M. E. Bird. Mrs. C. O. Juers of Grand Island, Neb., is visiting her parents, M-S Lester Welton, while her husband is at an advanced B-29 base. Mrs. Juers was formerly Marjorie Welton. |
