Show Grant Snow-Listed Snow-Listed Missing In Subboat Duty Joseph Grant Snow, 20, S 1c was reported missing since Jan. 4, 1945. No details were reported. He was one of a crew of 82 men assigned as-signed to the new submarine the "Torsk." The submarine was built at Portsmouth, New Hampshire and commissioned there Dec. 14, 1944. At that time he was awarded the "twin dolphins" insignia of the submarine service. J. Grant Snow was born in St. George, July 10, 1924, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Grant B. Snow. He attended at-tended schools in Nevada, and St. George, Utah, graduating from the Delta High School in May, 1942. He attended Dixie College, St. George, lettering in football. He was an Eagle Scout, attaining the rank of "Bronze Palm" in addition to that rating. He enlisted in the Navy in June 1943. He had training at Geo. Williams University, Chicago, 111., Great Lakes Naval Station, Newport, New-port, Rhode Island, and New London, Lon-don, Conn. During the recent summer he was on submarine patrol duty in the South Atlantic. Since October 1 he has been training and out on patrol in the Atlantic from Portsmouth, Ports-mouth, New Hamjshire, awaiting the completion of their new submarine. sub-marine.
