Show Slight Increase in Tires For Passenger Cars assenger car tire quotas were increased in-creased slightly for May over the pril figures, but they are still ap-noximately ap-noximately 50 percent less than rose allocated to Utah for March. Utah has been given 4875 passenger pass-enger car tires for May as compared com-pared to the 4385 allocated to the state in April. There has been an ncrease in tire quotas for size 7.50 or smaller. In May the boards will receive 1932 tires this size instead of the 1664 allocated last month. The quota for truck tires, size 8.25 or larger, is the same as last month 1018. There has been a seasonl increase in-crease in the number of tractor and farm implement tires size 7.50 or smaller. The state has been given giv-en 136 instead of the 89 received in April. This will help take care of the demand now that planting season sea-son is on. Of the size larger than 7.50, Utah has been allocated 85 instead of the 49 received in April. |
