Llanos Allred has been named an honor student at the Agricultural Agricultur-al college at Logan. She has a straight A grade and has received a scholarship and the Block pin. Mrs. Ella Gardner of San Francisco, Fran-cisco, is visiting in Delta with her brother, Owen George. Mrs. Harold Colby returned home Sunday night from Salt Lake City after spending ten days there. Mrs. Tola Newman and two children from Eureka, visited her parents, M-S Leonard Broderick, last week. Mrs. Edna Kennelly writes ftrom New York City that she hopes the sad news of deaths and woundings in our paper ceases. She and Jim are beginning to enjoy the hustle bustle of New York, but they will "take the country for the most part." M-S Homer Petersen went to Salt Lake City this past weekend. Mrs. Roe Ann Gooch has returned return-ed to Delta to live with her parents, par-ents, M-S B. F. Sampson, as her usband has been shipped overseas. Orran Ashby left Thursday for Salt Lake City to attend a statewide state-wide meeting of War Bond officials to outline the plans for the coming com-ing 7th War Loan Drive. v Mrs. I.on Sampson left Delta on Monday for Salt Lake City where she will visit with her son, David. M-S Thomas S. Judd and son, ifevid, and daughters, Jean and Ju-jj,"al Ju-jj,"al went to Salt Lake City Saturday Satur-day morning to spend the week end with their son, Dick, who has been in the South Pacific and arrived ar-rived in Salt Lake City by plane to spend a four-day pass. Their daughter, Janet met them in Salt Lake also. Misses LaRae and Violet Jones arrived in Delta last Thursday from Santa Monica, California, to visit with their parents, M-S C. H. Jones 1 and friends. Mrs. LaMarr Larsen. and baby, of Oak City also came with them. Mrs. Larsen has been visiting in Los Angeles with her husband from the Navy, who had a; short leave before going overseas. Don Savage drove over to Delta Wednesday to bring his aunts. Mrs. Nell Watson and Mrs. D. O. Wilcox, Wil-cox, who had been in Richfield to visit their sister, Mrs. Clara Savage, Sav-age, whto has been in the Richfield Rich-field hospital for some time, Mr. and Mrs. Wilcox left on Friday for their home in Rexburg, Idaho. M-S Roy Allred and M-S Ervin Allred and children spent several days of this week in Salt Lake. Mrs. Max Hannifin visited in Salt Lake City last week. |
