Show LYNNDYL . . . Mrs. Blanche Gronning of Mil-ford Mil-ford stayed over in l.ynndyl to visit vis-it her mother. Mrs. Myran Vest on her wav to Salt Lake. The Mutual gave a farewell parly for Burton Ivie and Gail Searles Tuesday evening. An interesting inter-esting program was given and dancing was enjoyed. The two young men are going into the Armed Forces. Ensign R. Daly and Mrs. Daly staved over night Friday on their way from Oakland, Calif., at the home of her mother, Mrs. Emily Twitchell. Mrs. Myleen Elliot and Mrs. Thelma Clark were Salt Lake visitors vis-itors Saturday. Mrs. Maurine Miller of Milford is visiting at her parents home, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Banks. Mrs. Banks is in the L D S hospital recovering re-covering from a double operation. The family of Kert Roper were about the happiest people in town when their son Dern came home on furlough Sunday. He is S2 in the Navy and has been overseas. Mrs. C. E. Simpson and Mrs. Jas. Fcrnley were Salt Lake visitors on Monday. Mis. Tom Campbell of Milford was a visitor at the home of Mrs. Harry McCardel on Saturday. Mrs. John Dutson returned home Monday after visiting at Bluffdal at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Deola Turner, who has a new baby girl. It will be interesting to learn that Lynndyl's Primary Birthday pennies were sent to the hospital for crippled children. $37.25 in all was collected. Mrs. James Smith of Salt Lake is visiting with her husband this week. Mrs. Lewis Woodbury spent Monday in Salt Lake visiting her mother, Mrs. Warrener. Mr. and Mrs. Rugdar Urley and family and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ben-sen Ben-sen were Provo visitors Sunday. Mr. Harold Gunn of Los Angeles has been visiting his brother, Chas. Gunn and family. Mrs. Fred Greathouse has as her guest her mother, Mrs. Farnsworth of Salt Lake. Mrs. Farnsworth was in the restaurant business here a few years ago. Miss Zola Cooper has returned to Salt Lake. She was called home on account of the illness of her brother Jay, who is improving every ev-ery day. Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Thompson and sons Gary and Jimmy and Neil Fernley were Nephi visitors Saturday. Sat-urday. Mrs. Walter Spangler and son Quinton were Salt Lake visitors Wednesday. Miss Edith Mae Vest was chosen for the leading part in the opera at Delta High. Edith Mae has a lovely voice and we wish hei much success. Mrs. Don James returned home Saturday after spending a few weeks at the home of her mother in Beaver. Miss Janette Overson entertained at the home of Mrs. Delony Banks Sunday for the 8th grade girls. A delicious luncheon was served and many interesting games were played. play-ed. Those there were: Gladys Banks, Nina Talbot, Donna Don-na Sheriff, Janeane Simpson, Co-leen Co-leen Nielson and Louise Wily and Janette Overson. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Smith, Mr and Mrs. Reed Larsen and Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Thompson and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lee enjoyed a farewell dinner at the Banque Hotel Wednesday Wed-nesday evening. The Lees are leaving to make their home in Milford. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Smith spent a few days in Beaver visiting visit-ing with Cornell Smith who is home from the Navy. Nadine Sheriff spent a few days in Beaver visiting with the Smiths Mr. and Mrs. Joe Pargis are much improved this week. |
