Show Scouters Meet To Formulate Plans for Year The Deseret District Scout Executive Exec-utive Committee met at 7 p. m. on Monday to plan for the coming year's work. Wiliam J. Starley, district chairman, chair-man, was in charge. Frank Lieber-man, Lieber-man, newly appointed finance chairman, reported the finance com mittee was under way and that collections were very good and would soon be over the top. Dr. J. E. Stains during 1945 had secured the help of the doctors at Delta and Topaz and provided the opportunity for every registered scout to have a free medical examination ex-amination before going to camp. At 8 p. m. all the Scouters of ' the wards were in attendance at a Scouter meeting to help plan the coming winter's program. Floyd Loveridge, field scout ex- ecutive, of Provo was present to assist with the work. He presented ; a program prepared by the National Nation-al Council as a guide in Scout program pro-gram building. In turn, the six op-1 op-1 erating committees headed by i Burnis Finlinson, organization; Tharol Larsen, court of honor; Dr. J. E. Stains, health and safety. Frank Lieberman, finance; Eidon i Jensen, leadership, outlined with the group a working program for the coming three months. All scouters were invited and ur- ged to attend the Council Annual ' meeting at Provo, Saturday, Oct. 13, at 7 p. m. |
