Show Mental Health Forms Theme Of Meets March 14 The conference on "Mental Health and the Family" will be held in west Millard in three sessions ses-sions on Friday, March 14. The first session will be at Sutherland, Suth-erland, opening at 10 a. m. There will be a general session with parents par-ents and teachers, introductory talk, panel discussion, and four discussion groups. The meeting ends at 12 noon. A similar program will be conducted con-ducted at Hinckley opening at 2 p. m. and closing at 4 p. m. The evening session will be held in Delta high school, beginning at 8 p. m. Topic for the program will be "Ways to Mental Health". A film, "The Feeling of Rejection", will be shown, followed by a panel discussion. From 9 to 9:30 p. m. will be an informal discussion period, per-iod, with the audience participating. participa-ting. Conference leaders who will lead the panel discussions will be Arch M. Thurman, director of Pupil Personnel, Per-sonnel, Salt Lake City school district, dis-trict, Miss Helen R. Henderson, director, dir-ector, Social Services, Department of Psychiatry, U. of U. medical school, and Chief psychologist, Department De-partment of Psychiatry, U. of U., and George A. Kromhout, M. D., Research Fellow, Department of Psychiatry, U. of U. medical school. The conference is sponsored by Millard county school district and east and west Millard PTA Councils Coun-cils in cooperation with Utah State Mental Hygiene Association, Home Economics Division, Utah Department Depart-ment of Public Instruction. |
