Show Bonnie Riding Selected For Hew York Trip Bonnie Riding, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Riding, of Delta, has been chosen from a group of honor students as a delegate to the third annual Odd Fellows' "United "Un-ited Nations Pilgrimage 'for Youth", held in New York City in June. She is a junior at Delta high school. The pilgrimage is sponsored annually an-nually by Odd Fellows rand Reb-ekahs Reb-ekahs of the United States and Canada, for boys and girls 16-17, years of age who will be high school juniors or seniors in Sept. 1952. Bonnie is sponsored by Delta Lodge No. 47, I. O. O. F. She will be one of five delegates from Utah. The pilgrimage will be six days in New York and the delegates will attend United Nations sessions and learn of the organization and functioning of the U. N. and its many branches. They are also to visit the Statue of Liberty, Coney Island, take a three-hour boat trip around Man-hatten Man-hatten Island, see places of historic histor-ic interest and take in a performance perform-ance at Radio City Music Hall. The pilgrimage fee of fifty dollars dol-lars will cover all costs of meals, lodging, transportation and entertainment enter-tainment while, in New York. The young delegates will have no expense ex-pense except for what they wish to spend and souvenirs. |
